中文摘要 | 由Topex/Poseidon衛星高度計所測得的海面有義波高及風速與海面上實測值比較 ,證實其可靠性很好, 乃用來與 Bretschneider 的颱風風浪推算模式及梁的颱風湧浪推算 法比較。對大部份在七級風暴風半徑內的例子,推算與測量的比較相當一致,尤其是在颱風 前進右半邊的部份。然而也有幾個例子,推算值與實測值相差很大,判斷是由於颱風參數有 誤。對七級風暴風半徑以外的情況,順風且當地風不小時,推算值小於實測值,當逆風時推 算值大於實測值。這表示有時在七級風暴風半徑以外的風仍不可忽略,且湧浪逆風會導致波 高衰減。由於在颱風行進方向的右半邊的波浪較大,本模式適用於工程上決定設計波浪之用 。另,颱風湧浪模式方可預報颱風湧浪,以作預警之用。 |
英文摘要 | The significant wave height and wind speed provided by altimeter of satellite Topex/Poseidon. which are verified by offshore ground truths, are used to compare with a typhoon wave model proposed by Bretschneider and a typhoon swell model proposed by Liang. For most cases within the radius of Beaufort Scale No.7 the comparisons are fairly good. especially for the cases at right half side as facing the moving direction. There are also cases in which the hindcasted data are quite different from the measured one. The reason may be due to wrong typhoon parameters. For the cases outside the radius of Beaufort Scale No.7, the hindcasted swell is smaller than the measured one when the local wind is significant and not against the swell. Otherwise, the hindcasted swell is larger than the measured one when the swell is against the wind. This means that the wind velocity outside of the radius of Beaufort Scale No.7 can not be ignored and the swell decay due to facing anti-wind during the propagation should be considered. Because the typhoon wave on the right side facing the moving direction is larger, this model is applicable to estimate design typhoon wave height. Otherwise, the typhoon swell model can also be employed to predict typhoon swell for warning system. |
