英文摘要 | The transport of sorptive pollutant in river-estuarine networks has been traditionally simulated using a physically based modeling approach. Nevertheless, the applications of physically based models are often limited by difficulties in solving interrelated problems related to parameter identification, system boundary conditions, and numerical methods. These problems can be largely alleviated by an alternative modeling approach based on the system theory. A two-layer tank model based on linear system theory and use of the gamma function is developed herein. In the system approach, few parameters are required, and the input and output data alone are sufficient for the calibration and verification of parameters in the solute transport system furthermore, they do not require knowledge of the advection-diffusion mechanism. To test the feasibility of the two-layer tank model, field data of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) were measured in the simulated Keelung River. The results indicate that the two-layer tank model can adequately simulate the transport of sorptive pollutant in tidal river. This model, after proper calibration and verification, can be rather useful in planning river pollution control when necessary information is lacking. |
