中文摘要 | 二十世紀前,摹臨教學法常被用於訓練美術學生的繪畫技巧。進入二十世紀的前 半葉,由於強調自我表達和創造能力的現代主義理論和進步主義教育理論當道,臨摹教學法 開始遭受嚴厲批評,甚至被警告切勿對兒童使用。然而在後現代藝術中,畫家又紛紛回到美 術史中找尋作畫題材與靈感,於是臨摹教學法又再度被提出討論,有些美術教育家甚至從他 們的研究中指出:只要審慎使用,臨摹教學法也是有價值的教學法之一。本報告採歷史研究 法,試圖瞭解隨著時代的推移及藝術理論的改變,西方美術教育學者對臨摹教學法所提出的 看法。 |
英文摘要 | Before the 20th century, copying was frequently used in art classes to train art students' technical proficiency. Entering into the 20th century, under the tenet of Modernism in art that emphasizes self-expression and creativity, the use of copying as a teaching method was criticized and finally abandoned. However, in the new age of the Post Modernism, art history was re-explored by artists who returned to it for idea and image. Copying was also reinvestigated again. Some art educators have even advocated that copying is a valuable learning experience in art classes. Obviously, the argument on the use of copying has not been decisive yet. This historical survey therefore is trying to draw more attention to the advantages and disadvantages of copying as a teaching method evaluated by western art educators. |
