英文摘要 | Most two-equation models utilize a large scale in constructing the turbulent eddy viscosity model, including the damping effect in the vicinity of the wall. Since the existence of the wall substantially changed the flow field, principal attention is given to the asymptotic behavior of the flow in the near-wall region. In the present study, the focus is on the low Reynolds number form of the two-equation model and on scales that characterizes near-wall turbulence behavior. The first part of this paper will discuss a newly developed two-scale two-equation turbulence model and the benchmark results of this new model against simple flows. Here the two-scale means the largest and smallest scales are considered in formulating the turbulent eddy viscosity model. The second part of this paper is to study how this new model behaves in predicting transitional flows at bypass free stream turbulence levels. The last part focuses on the models that will improve transition predictions. |
