英文摘要 | A particle image analyzer (PIA) system has been developed to study the local microscopic flow structure of a multiphase flow field. The measurable magnitude of velocity is limited for a traditional video-based PTV system due to the low frame transfer rate. Two approaches have been adopted to overcome the difficulty: first, utilizing an A/O modulator to pulse laser sheeting which allows each seeding particle to be multi-exposed in a frame; second, using a high-frame-rate recording system. By this way, the PIA system extends significantly the dynamic range of velocity measurements and renders the system more suitable for the studies of local transient flow structure for which an extremely small flow of view is required. Application of PIA system to the study of wake structure behind a large rising bubble is presented. The preliminary results well demonstrate the potential of using this PIA system in studying the dynamic flow properties of complex multiphase flow fields. |
