中文摘要 | 本文從唐宋以來中國思想史上出現的儒佛道三教歸─思想上立說,以思想史的方 法,探討了元末以後的全真道、特別是「性命雙修」的內丹長生思想之演變,及其之所以能 教被江南,會通南北,逐漸深入全國民間社會,成為世俗化的中國人文心理之真諦。 全文共分三部分。首先認為,以全真道為主的新道教在金元明清的產生與傳衍,無疑是中國 道教思想發展的一大事因緣,但因明清道書不全、傳承法系不明、丹道入門不易,要想揭示 出元末以後全真道真實的思想演變路向,就必須藉助史志、文集、類書、碑帖、筆記等史料 ,認真進行一番爬梳、勾稽之考證工夫。接著,疏理論述元明之際至明清之際間全真諸派興 起、開展的態勢。其次,著重分析論證陳致處及其以後的三丰派、陸西星、王常月、伍守陽 、劉一明諸全真高道如何通過探性命之源、揭順逆顛倒之理,會通南北丹法,統一南北全真 ,實現了「性命雙修」、「形神俱妙」這一長生久視的立教宗旨。最後,再從三教旨趣的比 較中,進一步申論:道教作為一種生命哲學,元末之後,全真丹道開拓的生命科學研究之路 ,正是儒佛二教之缺憾,也是長期被忽視的學問,從生命科學角度,深入揭開道教丹法之奧 秘,此乃本文之旨也。 |
英文摘要 | Starting in the T'ang and ontinuing on through the Sung and onward, the unity of three teachings 三教歸一 (i.e. Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism) emerged as a major intellectual trend. Using the approach of intellectual history, I explore the rise of Ch'uan-chen Taoism following the close of the Yuan Dynasty, placing particular emphasis on the development of the concept of dual cultivation of spirit and body 性命雙修. In addition, I discuss the reasons for the spread of Ch'uan-chen Taoism across China and its deep penetration into popular society and culture. The present essay is divided into three parts. Firstly, I attempt to show that while the rise of Ch'uan-chen Taoism is a turning point in Taoist history, its origins are still quite ambiguous, thus calling for a thorough investigation of traditional texts. Secondly, in order to show the integration of northern and southern schools, I perform detailed analysis of the San-feng school, paying particular attention to its leader. Finally, I point out that the fact that Ch'uan-chen Taoism can be considered as a kind of science of life has long been overlooked, and that its contributions in the area of inner alchemy 內丹術 can make up for deficiencies in Confucianism and Buddhism. |
