英文摘要 | The performance of the conventional activated-sludge reactor (CASR) in treating anaerobiacally pretreated swine wastewater can be enhanced by the addition of phototrophic bacteria (PTB), especially at a higher F/M ratio. Under aerobic conditions, the PTB are not capable of synthesizing phototrophic pigments, and the decay rates of PTB in the light and dark follow first- order kinetics with rate constants of 0.22 and 0.32d , respectively. Statistical analyses of kinetic constants k, V , a , and b show that the addition of PTB into activated-sludge reactors improves BOD removal efficiency but does not affect COD removal efficiency, sludge production, and the specific oxygen utilization rate. From parametric sensitivity analyses, the influence of mean cell residence time on the treatment performance of the PTB-containing activated-sludge reactor (PASR) is slightly larger than that of the CASR. By using the Grau model, the predicted specific removal rates (removal efficiencies) of BOD and COD at various F/M ratios of the CASR and PASR are in good agreement with the experimental data. |
