中文摘要 | 本試驗選用60頭已發身藍瑞斯新母豬,於發情後配種2次,並分別於Day 22、24 與30(配種第1日為Day 0)應用酵素免疫分析法直接測定其血漿硫酸雌素嗣(E□S)濃度,供探 討E□S濃度與母豬於Day 30之懷孕狀況及每窩胎豬數間之相關。結果顯示,懷孕新母豬各日 血漿E□S濃度均較(P<0.001)未孕新母豬者高。此外,訂定新母豬於Day 22與24懷孕時血漿 E□S濃度的判讀標準分別為1.8ng/mL與2.0ng/mL,則懷孕測定總準確率為89.8%與96.6%。 由此提示,新母豬Day 24的E□S濃度測定為一種良好的懷孕診斷工具。此外,懷孕新母豬於 Day 22或24血漿E□S濃度(Y, ng/mL)與其Day 30每窩活胎豬數(X,個)間均呈正相關 (r=0.372, p<0.05或r=0.432, P<0.01),其直線迴歸方程式則分別為Y=0.572+0.348X或 Y=2.409+0.470X;而Day 24的迴歸係數為Day 22者的1.35倍。再者,訂定新母豬於Day 22 與24血漿E□S濃度分別≧或<2.0ng/mL與≧或<3.0ng/mL時,作為懷有≧或<8個活胎豬數之 判讀標準;則其總準確率為86.4%與89.8%。綜合上述提示,新母豬於配種後24日之血漿E□S 濃度與其懷孕狀況及其每窩胎豬數間均有密切相關;應用此等關係可提供作為協助早日確認 母豬懷孕及預估其每窩仔豬數之可靠根據。 |
英文摘要 | A total of 60 Landrace gilts after puberty was used in this study. Blood samples were collected from the gilts on Days 22, 24 and 30 after mating. Plasma estrone sulfate (E□S) concentrations were determined to analyze their relations to pregnancy status and the number of fetuses when examined on Day 30 in the gilts. The results showed that plasma E□S levels of pregnant gilts were higher than (P<0.001) those of non-pregnant gilts. Gilts were considered pregnant when plasma E□S concentrations were above 1.8 ng/mL and 2.0 ng/mL on Day 22 and 24, respectively. The overall accuracies for pregnancy detection on Day 22 and Day 24 were 89.9% and 96.6%, respectively. These suggested that E□S determination in plasma of gilts on Day 24 could be used for pregnancy diagnosis. In addition, the number of viable fetuses on Day 30 was highly correlated with the plasma E□S levels on Day 22 (r=0.372, P<0.05) and Day 24 (r=0.432, P<0.01), respectively. The linear regressions for Y (E□S ng/mL plasma) on X (number of viable fetus) were Y=0.572+0.348X on Day 22 and Y=2.409+0.470X on Day 24, respectively. The regression coefficient on Day 24 was 1.35-fold higher than that on Day 22 (0.470 vs 0.348). Moreover, gilts were classified as having eight or more viable fetuses when plasma E□S concentrations were greater than 2.0 ng/mL and 3.0 ng/mL on Day 22 and Day 24, respectively; others were classified as having less than eight viable fetuses when plasma E□S concentrations were lower than that levels. The overall accuracies for estimating viable litter size classification on Day 22 and Day 24 were 86.4% and 89.8%, respectively. Thus, plasma E□S level on Day 24 would be a better indicator to reflect both of pregnancy status and litter size classification. These results demonstrated that estrone sulphate level in the plasma of gilt on Day 24 after mating is highly correlated with pregnancy stauts and the number of viable fetuses at Day 30. Thus, the relationships could be used for both of pregnancy diagnosis and litter size estimation early after mating in the gilts. |
