英文摘要 | This paper describes the influence of the injector expansion angle on the spray flow field. The orifice diameter of the nozzle is 0.3mm and the orifice expansion angles are designed as 0 °, and 90 ° for comparison. The atomizers are operated at 1atm ∼ 7atm. The sprays are measured by Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer Results show that more small droplets are produced in the spray sheet of the injector with 90 ° expansion angle even under low pressure, indicating a better atomization process in this case. The range of the trajectory angles for these small droplets are wider than the 0 ° case. It implies that the 90 ° case produces a wider instability modes on the liquid sheet which, in term results in better atomization. These small droplets are distributed in the whole spray field which favor the combustion processes. Hence the provision of a more unstable perturbation on the liquid sheet is considered as the mechanism to achieve better atomization. |
