英文摘要 | The upper and middle reaches of the streams in Taiwan are characterized by steep slopes and a large bed load size. Their bridge pier scour is therefore unique, and in the past very few studies have examined this area of research. Nine sizes of circular piers and three sizes of bed load were used in hydraulic experiments. Scour hydrographs were obtained from the data of the pier scour at different stages, discharges and velocities. The depth equilibrium of the pier scour together with the dimensional analysis were used to study the degree of influence of each dimensionless parameter on the relative equilibrium depth. A formula is also presented to estimate the scour equilibrium depth. |
