英文摘要 | The criticaligy of natural uranium fueled, light water cooled, heavy water moderated and graphite reflected reactor was studied using standard computer codes WIMS-D/4 and CITATION. The effects of the presence of central thimble in the reactor core and presence of impurities in fuel, clad and structural materials were also studied. The available excess reactivity in fresh clean core was found to be 44.3 mk when the loaded number of fuel rods were 192, moderator channel width was 6.04 cm and 85 cm thick annular graphite reflector was present. The variation in infinite multiplication factor as function of D �� O moderator channel width and D �� O purity were studied. It was found that the NRX/CIR reactors were under moderated systems. The calculated neutron flux distribution confirmed that the neutron spectrum in NRX/CIR systems was hard. |
