英文摘要 | It is presented here an algorithm for automatic curve-fitting to data points. This algorithm provides a methodology for the following principles: data reduction/smoothing, global searching for knot points, rough curve-fitting and local curve-fairing. The input data is firstly smoothed and redistributed to evenly spaced places. Next, the data is automatically divided into curve segments by a robust evaluation-function, which is based on properties of parabolic trajectories. The evaluation-function recognizes the joining points between adjacent segments of a composite curve, and leads to create a third-order prototypical NUB curve. A line-of-conduct is then proposed to render satisfying results in refining a rough NUB curve into NURB curve. The fitted curve is smooth for it consists only a few control points tat constructs the segment features of the curve, and can be edited for the segment features of the curve. The formulated line-of-conduct, once carefully implemented, facilitates curve-fitting procedures. |
