中文摘要 | 本文從形上學、道德哲學和人生哲學此三個角度,探討老子的「道」之與其「聖人政治」的內在關聯性。其要點則包括:(一)、擁有超在性、內存性和謙沖性的「道」,自是人世間一切人為(典章)制度依循的準據;(二)、凡是能遵道而行道,貴德而行德的有道之人,當是一位有大德之容和行止的聖人;(三)、一國的主其事者,若能依道行事,又使自己常德不離,這自是國祚之福、全民之福。又一種能臻及大和暨大順的聖人政治之理想,無非是老子的人生哲學的崇高目標。 盱衡當今的世代,老子的聖人政治觀雖然顯得太過烏托邦,又不切實際;但是筆者寧願認定:它確可作為主政者於其行事之際,或號令天下之時一種反思自我的重要素材。 |
英文摘要 | This article proceeds from the angles of metaphysics, moral philosophy and a philosophy of life in investigating the concept of Dao in the Lao Zi and its connection with the theory of sage-government. (a) Dao as a transcendent and immanent existence can be said to be the basic source of human institutions. (b) A person who invariably obeys the Dao (natural laws) behaves as a moral man. That person then possesses the ideal character and can be considered a sage. (c) The ideal of a political “sage-government” could be considered the highest achievement for a philosophy of life in the Lao Zi. Though this ideal might be considered a form of utopianism, it can serve as an important reflective starting point for leaders in our time. |
