中文摘要 | 本研究使用邁克遜干涉儀式光纖感測系統,結合法拉第旋轉鏡構成的感測系統, 可消除偏振引起的訊號褪變問題。而為了朝向多組感測器的列陣形式,本實驗採用具有低串 音和高靈敏度的分時多工系統。此外,系統中利用不等臂邁克遜干涉儀,結合光路徑匹配之 補償干涉儀亦有效的降低相位引起的強度雜訊。 當感測器組數增加時,由於耦合器的分光損失,使得入射至各組感測器的光訊號減弱,因此 必須增加訊號光強度。而使用光纖光放大器可放大訊號光強度,因此可依需求連續加入所需 數目的光放大器。一般而言,光放大器在系統上的應用可分為功率放大器、中繼放大器及前 級放大器。由於每種位置具有不同的特性,因此本實驗針對光放大器在系統中的各種架構做 分析研究。 |
英文摘要 | In a time-division multiplexing of fiber optic Michelson interferometric sensors with a 1.55 m wavelength laser diode source, an erbium doped fiber amplifier, EDFA, can amplify the optical intensity, so that the number of the sensors can be increased. The EDFA in the time-division multiplexing of fiber optic Michelson interferometric sensors should be proper design and adjust so that the accompany noise level can lowered to a minimum value and still maintain the extinction ratio of the light pulse. In this paper, we will explore the role of an erbium doped fiber amplifier in an array system by theoretical analysis and experimental measurement. In a time-division multiplexing of fiber optic Michelson interferometric sensors, the EDFA can be placed as power amplifier, preamplifier, in-line amplifier or the combinations of two of them. Through the analysis of the cross talk, the singnal-to-noise ratio and the measurement of sensitivity in the whole fiber optic sensor system, we find the better arrangement of the EDFA is the combination of power amplifier and in-line amplifier together. In which, the higher sensitivity and the maximum number of sensors connected can be obtained. |
