中文摘要 | 反嘴□(Recurvirostra avosetta)在台灣屬於局部地區不普遍的冬候鳥,主要族群只 集中於台南的四草地區,本研究在1998年2-3月期間,利用Hamilton(1975)所提之覓食行為 模式來描述在四草魚塭區反嘴□之覓食行為;其中主要的三種篩食行為,並與其四個水深等 級的選擇作比較,輔以覓食棲地浮游生物的調查,來加以討論。 研究結果顯示反嘴□大多出現於水深10-20CM左右的環境(佔了約87%),且整體來 看不同等級的水深影響其覓食行為的效應是顯著的(P<0.01);從水深與覓食行為不同等級 之間的關係來看,若反嘴□以單一篩食與深探篩食,在水深3、4等級的覓食率有顯著的差 異(P<0.05&P<0.01);若是以多次篩食,在水深2、3等級的覓食率有明顯的差異(P<0.01); 另不論在等級2或3的水深中,單一篩食與多次篩食的覓食率皆有顯著的差異(P<0.01 & P<0.05)。 |
英文摘要 | The Avocet(Recurvirostra avosetta) is one of uncommon shorebirds on the western coast of Taiwan. Most of the population are wintering at Szu-Tsao of Tainan. This study attempts to use the feeding behavior pattern that Hamilton (1975) mentioned in American Avocet to describe the Avocet in fishponds at Szu-Tsao area from February to March 1998. We defined four feeding behavior patterns and four levels of water depth (level 1:0-1 cm, level2: 1-10cm, level 3:10-18 cm, level4: >18cm) to investigate the relationship between these two factors. We also measured the abundance of invertebrates at feeding habitats trying to explain the relationship. The results revealed that most Avocet showed up at water depth about 10-20 cm (87%), and the feeding behavior was affected significantly (p<0.01) by the levels of water depth. When the Avocets used single scythe and dabble scythe to feed at the level 3 and 4 of water depth, the feeding rates differed significantly (p<0.05 &P<0.01). If the Avocets used multiple-scythe method, the feeding rates also differed significantly at the level 2 and 3 of water depth (p<0.01). However, at the level 2 or 3 of water depth, the feeding rates were significantly different between single and multiple scythe method (p<0.01 & p<0.05). |
