英文摘要 | The process of gas being forced through saturated porous media was investigated experimentally. The experiments showed that there is a pressure threshold P occurring in a very thin layer of wet porous media when gas is being forced into the media. The gas enters and keeps flowing through the media only when the gas pressure reaches the threshold., The gas flow stops and the resistance to gas entry into the wet porous media will recover when the gas pressure reduces somewhat. The thin wet layer of the porous media acts as a hysteresis switch. which can be used as a auto-valve to prevent gas vessel from overpressure. The porous media threshold size was denied theoretically as d=4/p,but further investigations showed that the threshold size is larger than expected for fine particles. The threshold size is not a geometrical property of the porous media, but can unify all experimental results relating permeability, and porosity. |
