中文摘要 | 燃料電池是一種新型的發電方式,係利用電化學原理,直接將燃料中的化學能轉 換成電能,並釋放出熱能的裝置。燃料電池為目前最新的發電技術之一,繼水力、火力、核 能發電技術之後,被稱為第四代發電技術,由於發電過程不涉及燃燒,因此發電效率比一般 傳統的發電方式高,且具備污染排放低、噪音小、負載變化快、體積小、模組性高、建廠時 間短及廠址限制少等優點。因此發展及應用燃料電池此項發電技術,不但可緩和國內用電量 需求增加的壓力,亦可同時減輕能源短缺和環境污染的問題; 然而因現階段仍在研發,而且 造價過高,仍需假以時日方可望實際應用。本文係討論各種燃料電池的原理、特性、應用與 發展概況,以供國內研發的參考。 |
英文摘要 | A fuel cell is a new power generation device that directly converts the chemical energy of fuels into electricity and heat through electrochemical reactions. It is sometimes called the fourth power generation technology after hydro, thermal and nuclear technologies. Since electricity is generated without combustion processes, the energy conversion efficiency of fuel cells is high and the emissions associated with this power generation method are relatively benign to the environments. Further advantages of fuel cells include low noise, quick load following capability, compactness, modularity, short lead time in construction and little restriction to plant site selection. Consequently, developing fuel cells in Taiwan would alleviate the pressure of inadequate power supply while also solving both the problems of energy shortage and environmental pollution associated with power generation at the same time. However, this technology is still in the developing stage, and the installation cost is too high to be promoted at present. This article describes the principles, applications and development status of various fuel cell technologies. |
