英文摘要 | A series of experiments was made in this study with a tilting flume with semicircle roughness element to simulate flow having large-scale roughness, in which the size of sediment is of the same order of magnitude as the depth of the flow. This study has proved that Manning's n is influenced by roughness element height, aligning density, creek slope and flow conditions. The empirical equation derived can be written as n=A/k =A/1(29.6p sin θ k) where n is Manning coefficient(cm ), Ks is equivalent roughness height (cm), A is constant which is related to the ratio of hydraulic radius and equivalent roughness height, K is roughness element height(cm), p is aligning density, sin θ is creek slope. The results are in excellent agreement with the experimental data sets. |
