| 英文摘要 | In daily life we often track flying mosquitoes while trying to kill them, but always fail to continuously follow their flying paths. The reason of that might be either (1)the complex background of the environment camouflaged the mosquito from tracking or (2)human pursuit mechanism could not follow the mosquito's flying path. TO answer this question, we arranged a small room, 1.7 × 1.5 × 2.2m (LxWxH), with plain wall. Inside which three observers pursued consecutively 6 mosquitoes (3 Culex quinquefasciatus and 3 Aedes albopictus). All three observers could continuously pursue the flying mosquito over the plain background. This result implies that tracking failure is due to complex background, not from mismatch between human pursuit mechanism and mosquito's flying path. |
