英文摘要 | This paper presents the results of an experimental program aimed at investigating the heat transfer phenomena taking place inside the water drum of a simulated fire tube boiler. As an attempt to further increase the heat transfer performance of the boiler, the circulation of heated water within the drum was introduced. The flow visualization tests were initially conducted in order to probe into the physics of nucleating boiling under the influences of bulk flow motion further. Heat transfer tests at four different flow rates with through flow Reynolds numbers of 6000, 7750, 9500 and 11200 were performed. For each Reynolds number tested, the nucleate boiling situations under four different heating levels, namely 0.2, 0.4, 0.7 and 0.9 MW/m掣ere examined. The experimental reaults confirmed the significant influences of vapor bobbles on the heat transfer. Due to the possible effects of bobble evolution along with the flow, the time dependent heat transfer fluctuation and oscilation at the locations near the fluid/vapor interface were observed. Up to 300% of heat transfer enhancement relative to the equivalent single-phase forced convective flow could be achieved as a results of the introduction of bulk flow motion into the boiling process. |
