中文摘要 | 畜牧事業在我國農業生產中扮演極為重要的角色,除供應民生所需之動物性蛋 白來源以外,亦為我國外匯收入之重要項目。近年來,國內外在畜產生物技術的發展相當 快速,並已獲得相當良好的研究成果。生物技術在畜牧生產上之應用,主要著重在生殖科 技、基因轉殖動物、基因標記、畜產加工、畜禽營養、畜禽保健與疫苗產業等方向,這些 研究除了能解決許多基礎的技術問題外,更可逐步向產業界發展,使研究成果得以實際田 間應用。由於生物技術將成為二十一世紀最具潛力之科技產業之一,未來的畜牧生產將與 生物科技的發展密切配合且息息相關。台灣在畜牧生產技術上已具相當的基礎,國內相關 的產、官、學應加強合作,將已經發展之關鍵技術,實際應用在畜牧生產以改善畜牧生產 效率,提升生物技術之研發水準,如此才能提升台灣畜產業之國際競爭力,成為亞太畜產 中心。 |
英文摘要 | Livestock production is one of the most important sector in agriculture in Taiwan. These products not only provide animal proteins, but also generate large amount of foreign exchange. Over the past decades, the development of biotechnology on livestocks production has been remarkable. Biotechnology has been applied mainly to the following fields, i.e. reproduction technologies, transgenic animals, genetic markers, animal product processing, animal nutrition, animal health and vaccines research. These new biotechnology frontiers have accelerated the progress both in basic and applied research and will potentially turn out to be an important scientific industry in the coming 21 century. Thus, the relation between biotechnology development and livestock production has become more and more closer. The basis in livestock production in Taiwan is very strong. We must strengthen the cooperation among producer, government, academy and researchers; fully use the developed key technology in animal production to improve the production efficiency, promote the research level of biotechnology and enhance our competiveness in livestock production world wide. Through these ways, Taiwan will have a possibility to become the Asian-Pacific center of livestock production. |
