英文摘要 | In the illumination zone of fishing lamps, the swordtip squid (Loligo edulis) expressed phototaxic behavior, by which the school density oscillated at the cyclic periods of 4.28~ 7.50 min in the moonless nights and 5.70~10.00 min in the moonlights. The cyclic periods decreased with the increase in the mantle length. When there were schools of the prey mackerel ( Scomber japonicus) and the predator hairtail (Trichiurus lepturus), the squid school density showed additional cyclical periods of 2.30~3.67 min in response to the former and 15 min to the latter. Apparently, the behavioral response of squid to the three concurred stimuli (light, prey and predator) were the one stimulus-one response phenomenon and their interactions were additive in nature. |
