英文摘要 | This article discusses several impacts of information technology (IT) in transit business, presents a three-phase process that may successfully engage IT in top management, and constructs a strategy support model as a dialogue with executives of transit organization. There are outlines of various steps involved in capturing senior executives' attention and in expanding their awareness of the many potential benefits of IT. Though the successful implementation of this process and strategy management depends on many outside factors (i.e., timing, management's eagerness to get involved, competitive pressures), once a transit business commits itself to the process and the IT-based-and-computer-aided strategy system, the rewards will be self-evident: management will improve their delivery of services and increase their effectiveness and productivity in managing the transit business. |
