中文摘要 | 為阻絕外購女牛可能夾帶傳染病原,本研究在初生仔牛生命力薄弱之際,探討關 鍵性保育方法並加以推廣應用,使全農場初生仔牛育成率達98%,充裕更新女牛牛源。主要 之措施為:1.母牛分娩欄加建散熱設施,舒緩熱季時臨產母牛熱緊迫,減少難產發生機率 ,冬涼期間, 仔牛舍加設衰弱仔牛專用保溫室及擋風牆,阻隔東北季風吹襲,減少寒害;2. 第一搾次初乳以直徑膠體擴散法監測品質, 其免疫球蛋白含量熱季平均達 114mg/ml,涼季 達 85mg/ml,足以保護初生仔牛抵擋病原體侵襲; 3. 調整代乳料營養濃度,內含粗蛋白質 24%,粗脂肪 21%,提供仔牛充足營養成分,使其順利發育,雌性仔牛三月齡平均體高 88cm 以上,胸圍 102cm 以上,體重亦達 97kg。農場自產初乳添加初乳補助料瓶餵出生體弱或經 人手助產之仔牛,未提升出生 24~36 小時之間血清中免疫球蛋白之濃度; 瓶餵含巴斯德桿菌 抗體之初乳,則在血清中呈現 8~16 倍之抗體力價。 |
英文摘要 | Three approaches were used to achieve a 98% rearing rate in our Farm- produced calf herd; in this manner, we could supply replacement heifers from self-rearing young calves rather than from external sources, which might be potentially hazardous pathogen carriers. 1.Calving pen provided with shelter and fans that reduced solar heat in the warm season. In this way, we effectively reduced dystocia outbreak due to heat stress. A calf hutch with heating lamps was assigned to new-born weak calves, and wind barriers were positioned beside rearing pen to reduce cold hazards on neonatal calves;2.The first milking colostrum (FMC) was checked with radial immunodiffusion assay, which demonstrated a total immunoglobulin concentration of 114 mg/ml in the warm season and 85 mg/ml in the cool season. The FMC provided sufficient passive immunity to the neonatal calves; 3.Milk replacer with 24% crude protein, 21% fat was fed to baby calves in water suspension, which boosted female calves' growth to 88 cm height, 102 cm girth size, and 97 kg weight at three months of age. FMC plus colostral supplement did not raise serum immunoglobulin concentrations at 24~36 hr. age in weak or manipulative delivered calves; however, maternal FMC containing Pasteurella multicide antibody (bovine type) presented 8 to 16 times of titer at the same status. |
