英文摘要 | Trilateration networks between Yuli to Chihshang show a horizontal creep with sinistral strike-slip component at a rate of about 20-30 mm/yr. Rapid vertical movements were detected in the Yuli, Fuli and Chihshang. The western margin of the Coastal Range is quickly uplifted relative to the Taitung Longitudinal Valley at a rate of about 20-30 mm/yr. The crustal deformation is detected by three small triangulation network on artificial structures such as retaining walls, conduits, and road curbs crossing the rupture of active fault traces along Tapo-Wanan. At Tapo, Chinyuan and the site between Tapo and Chinyuan, the horizontal shortening with an average velocity of 20-30 mm/yr. This active faulting accounts for 30% of the total shortening between the Luzon Arc and Eurasia passive margin. Geodetic data shows an average 20-30 mm/yr. horizontal and 20 mm/yr. vertical movement in eastern part of the fault from Yuli to Chihshang. Crustal movements by creeping result in surface tilting, bending of small road in rice field and destruction of architecture. Thus, the central segment is the most tectonic active in the Taitung Longitudinal Valley. |
