中文摘要 | 本文指出,過去傳播學者不但忽略媒介與環境之間的因素,效果研究也僅止於對 閱聽人所做的調查。殊不如,事實上「環境」的因素影響了傳播媒介訊息的產製,因而對受 眾也產生影響。本文發現,傳播環境不但影響媒介效果,並且影響理論的走向。然承緒探討 其形成主要原因為經濟、社會背景互動的結果,即因受環境的影響,傳播理論及解釋組織型 態的理論模式亦隨之轉化。所以,事實上傳播理論和組織學理論之發展不謀而合。本文主要 分為兩大部分。 第一部分比較分析組織學和傳播學理的演進,並且說明整個傳播理論從 H. Lasswell 對傳播過程的假設至今日之傳播模式,並非理論的謬誤,而是不同的環境, 需有 不同或適當的理論來解釋。第二部分的主要目的即建立一分析傳播媒介組織與環境的理論架 構。整個架構的假設是媒介組織是個開放的系統,面對環境帶來的不確定性,而調整本身的 機能。 |
英文摘要 | In the existing literature, it is found that the relation between media organizations and their environment have been ignored. Media effect research has also been limited to the investigation of audience. In fact, environmental factors, on the one hand, affect the production process of mass media, and, on the other hand, influence how the audience perceive media information. Most importantly, this paper finds that environmental factors also influence how the theorists draw different theoretical conclusions under different periods of time. Economic and social factors contribute how theoretical models are built. This paper mainly consists of two parts. The first part is to compare and analyze the transition of the theories of organizations and mass communication. It is found that the transition of theories is not a theoretical problem but influenced by environmental factors. Different time and space need various theories. The second part is to establish a theoretical framework for understnading the relations between media organizations and their environment. While facing environmental uncertainties, the organizations must adjust themselves. |
