英文摘要 | The effectiveness of synthetic surfactants and a biosurfactant for the recovery of oil from oil sludge was evaluated. At a concentration of 0.025% and at 22℃, cell-free B. subtilis broth containing surfactin is three times more effective than SDS and CTAB. On the average, increasing the treatment temperature from 22℃ to 60℃ led to 93% and 66% in oil dispersion for SDS and CTAB, respectively. For B. subtilis broth increasing the temperature to 60℃ resulted in 36% reduction in oil dispersion due to, probably, loss of cosurfactants, such as organic alcohols by evaporation and extracellular proteins by heat denaturation. At a concentration as low as 0.025%, B. subtilis broth at 22℃ is as effective as SDS and CTAB at 60℃. Microbial broth containing microbial surfactants was shown well suited for in situ application for oil recovery from contaminated soils. |
