英文摘要 | This study examines the effect of a driving phase for trandsucer face vibrating on the ultrasonic power intensity distribution (PID) for an annular array transducer. This small and flexible transducer can be used for treating intracavitary cervical and/or uterine tumor hyperthermia. A computer program based on the expression for the radiation pattern is employed to investigate the ultrasonic PID for various array configurations. Due to the central axis symmetry of PID of this annular array, a two-dimensional (r-z) simulation program is used. The transducer's diameter is 2.5 cm, the frequency is 1.0MHz. and the grid size is one quarter of ultrasonic wavelength. Forward focusing, backward focusing, and forward focusing with a doughnut shape of focal zone in front of the transducer are studied to observe the PID patterns and the focusing ability. In addition, the effects of the gap between two elements on the PIDs are also investigated for a three-element annular array transducer formed from two concentric annuli with an inner disk. Above results demonstrate that a variety of PID patterns can be formed by varying of the vibrating phase. Such a technique can be employed in the intracavitary hyperthermia. |
