英文摘要 | There are two variations—professional organizer/Entrepreneurial model ad political process model—deriving from the resource mobilization theory. This paper highlights the political process model which pays attention to a multifactored approach to inquire into the social movement. The political process model emphasizes the conflicts between insurgents and authorities. Its point of view is based on three assumptions: (1) social movements are viewed as rational attempts by excluded groups to mobilize sufficient political leverage to advance collective interests through noninstitutionalized means; (2) social movements emerge only over a long period of time in response to broad social and political processes that afford insurgents a certain structural potential for collective action and cognitive liberation; and (3) social movements are seen as political movements which engage in political conflict between insurgents and authorities. Therefore, the political process model maintains that the dynamic development of political environment brings about the insurgent group's cognitive liberation and provides political opportunities for taking action. Furthermore, this model construes that the indigenous organizations play a central role in triggering the collective actions, and both the movement group's strength and the government's responses decide the fate of a social movement. |
