中文摘要 | 職能治療在學校中藉助有目的的活動來鼓勵、促進發展障礙學生持續地調適自我,並提昇其能力以克服教育環境的挑戰,以求在教育經歷中獲益。在1940年代美國職能治療師就已介入學校系統服務,目前的從業人數則高達全美職能治療師之第二多數;但在臺灣,雖有相關法案在1987年通過確定職能治療訓練可介入學校系統,但是實際參與服務的職能治療專業人員卻仍為少數。此篇調查研究重點便在了解1996年臺灣職能治療介入特教學校與機構的情形、其實際工作內容、以及此服務之未來展望。 結果發現法律規定及現行制度仍有許多漏洞、體制未能健全、團隊工作未能正常運作等問題。工作內容則大抵為評估、擬定計畫、執行治療及行政管理;服務送達的方式則依各校情形而混合使用直接治療、監督治療、諮詢服務、及整合型態等模式。至於未來發展方面刖建議仍需由大環境著手改善,並呼籲更多職能治療師的投入,以其專業的背景來服務發展障礙學生。 |
英文摘要 | School-based occupational therapy uses purposeful activities to encourage and facilitate the developmental disabled students to make self-adaptation, and increase their ability to overcome the challenge of education environment and get advantage in learning. In 1940's, occupational therapists in USA began to serve in school system. Now, the population of the school-based occupational therapists is the second majority of all occupational therapists. In Taiwan, the related laws in 1987 permitted that occupational therapy can serve in school system. However, there are still few occupational therapists involved in the school system. This study aims to investigate the occupational therapists who now serve in Taiwan special education schools and institutes to understand their environment, tasks, and their suggestion in the development of occupational therapy in the system. The results of this study indicated that the laws and the current special education system do not fit very well, there were discrepancy between them, and the special education team-work did not work normally. The roles of occupational therapists are in charge of evaluating the disable students, planning programs for them, and conducting necessary intervention as well as administration. The ways of service delivery in each school include direct service, supervision service, consultation, and integrated service. As to their suggestions for the future development, the needs to improve the overall environment condition and to recruit more therapists to serve in the special education schools are the most urgent tasks. |
