| 英文摘要 | Collision of North China and Antarctica as the terminating event of the Early Paleozoic Ross orogeny of eastern Gondwana is indicated by comparable Late Ordovician Rb-Sr isochrons and Middle Proterozoic Sm-Nd T□ model ages for slates and phyllites in the high-grade belt of the North Qilian terrane and the central Transantarctic Mountains. In this model, the Central Qilian terrane is a fragment of the Gondwanan continental margin, while the North Qilian terrane represents the intervening ocean basin. The principal sediment influx into the basin is suggested to have been from North China, thereby offering a solution to the identity of a northeasterly sediment-source required in studies of the Antarctic segment of the Ross orogenic belt. |
