英文摘要 | This paper presents a new edge location algorithm, which based on moment-preserving thresholding can quickly locate edges and measure the dimension between edges with subpixel resolution. Traditionally, moment-based edge operators locate edges with subpixel resolution by calculating the first three moments of a sample data stream, which is a time consuming process. The proposed algorithm, however, locates edges with the first moment only by using the information, such as the threshold value, the gray levels of object and background, obtained from the moment-preserving thresholding. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can locate edges with higher precision than that of the traditional moment-based edge operator. Experimental results also show that the proposed algorithm uses shorter sample data stream and takes 52% less processing time than that of the traditional moment-based operator. Therefore, the proposed new edge location algorithm is feasible for precision PCB inspection and parts measurement. |
