中文摘要 | 電視是現代家庭中的必需品,一般人花在收看電視的時間也與日遽增。許多研究 顯示,收看電視佔據人們相當多的自由時間,並以看電視作為主要的消遣。本文旨在透過休 閒與傳播批判學派的觀點,對收視行為的本質進行探討。從時間、活動等休閒觀點出發的研 究,通常會高估以看電視作為休閒的量;從休閒體驗的觀點,則顯示以看電視作為休閒的低 落品質,且對其他形式的休閒有強烈的排他性;傳播學者加力則提出了完全不同的觀念,他 將收視行為視為人們在自由時間的勞動。經由不同角度的探討,希望能引起休閒研究對收視 行為的重視,以導正目前重「量」不重「質」的現象。 |
英文摘要 | A TV set is a necessity in a mondern family, and most people are spending more and more time on watching TV. Watching TV has occupied most of people's free time and has become their main recreation. The primary idea of this article is to research the essence of watching behavior from the viewpoints of leisure and critical communication school. When researches are based on time consummed and leisure activities, scholars often over estimate the quantity of TV-watching at leisure time. From an experiential viewpoint, we'll find the low quality of TV-watching as an recreation and its strong exciusiveness against other activities. Jhally, a communication scholar, proposed a different concept which took TV-watching as a kind of work at people's free time. From different viewpoints, I expect to inspire the importance of TV-watching behavior in leisure research. Thus, quality as well as quantity will be emphazised in the future. |
