英文摘要 | There were 1,865,141 to 2,224,472 ha of forests during 1970 to 1994 in Taiwan, hardwoods were the major forest, then followed by softwoods, mixed hardwoods and softwoods and bamboos. The accumulative woods were between 1.34 to 1.47 × 10 �� m �� for hardwoods, 9.67 to 10 �翩� 1.25 × 10 �� m �� for softwoods, 5.80 to 9.92 × 10 �� m �� for the mixed of hardwoods and softwoods, and 4.59 × 10 �� to 1.17 × 10 �e pieces of bamboos. The total carbon assimilation by the forests and other woody plants were between 2.2 × 10 �� to 3.15 × 10 ��, 3.11 × 10 �� to 4.25 × 10 �� and 4.76 × 10 �� to 4.66 × 10 �� tons during 1970 to 1976, 1977 to 1993 and 1994, respectively. The total carbon dioxide sink by the forests and other woody plants were between 8.07 × 10 �� to 1.16 × 10 ��, 1.14 × 10 �� to 1.56 × 10 �� and 1.74 × 10 �� to 1.71 × 10 �� tons during 1970 to 1976, 1977 to 1993, and 1994, respectively. Therefore, the carbon dioxide sink of forests is very important in the mitigation of greenhouse gases emission and global warming. |
