英文摘要 | Assessment Center Method (ACM) has become one of the most widely used technique in today's human resource management, for its validity and utility have been extensively studied and positively confirmed. Multiple assessment tools including simulation exercises and multiple assessors are considered the cornerstones of ACM. They also account for ACM's high validity. For this reason, selection of assessment tools and development of simulation exercises have thus been deemed as the essential components when establishing ACM. This article tries to explain how to select assessment tools, especially simulation exercises in accordance with the dimensions to be assessed, which are chosen through careful job analysis for the purpose of the human resource (personnel) actions, such as training and development, selection or early identification of management talents. In addition, the author intends to explore the rationale in designing the simulation exercises, such as in-basket exercise, leaderless group discussion (LGD), management game, problem (case) analysis, fact finding, oral presentation, and interview simulation. |
