英文摘要 | A rotary evaporative misting system was used in one of the two broiler houses next to each other, and environmental factors, such as dry bulb temperature, relative humidity, air velocity, and globothermometric temperature, was measured at corresponding positions to investigate effects of misting system on environment and temperature reduction in broiler houses. Experimental results indicated that misting system can reduce broiler suffering from thermal stress from 30% to 17% in the condition that moisture content of floor additives was at acceptable ranges, since BGHI in the broiler house with misting system to be lower at the range of 0.7-1.8 ℃ than that in the broiler house without misting system. Although average temperature reduction was not able to avoid broilers suffering from thermal stress completely by using misting system, misting system with cycling operation can provide thermal stress relief instantly. In addition, if THI is needed to evaluate thermal stress in a broiler house, then it is more appropriate to be used in broiler houses with misting system since its difference between globothermometric temperature and dry bulb temperature to be lower. |
