中文摘要 | 賀伯颱風於八十五年七月三十日至八月一日侵襲臺灣,造成臺灣地區近三十年來罕 見的重大災情。本文針對颱風過境期間,臺灣各地降雨的時空分布及特性加以剖析,並進一 步探討豪雨發生之過程及成因。 當賀伯颱風過境時,臺灣北部地區的淡水河流域之降雨型態屬單峰型,其降雨尖峰出現於颱 風最接近集水區之前的四∼五小時;全流域之平均雨量為515公厘,其中以大漢溪集水區 的598.6公厘居首,新店溪為559.7公厘居次,而基隆河祇有279.4公厘。 又此次颱風侵襲期間,阿里山七月三十一日之日雨量達1094.5公厘,連續24小時累 積雨量達1748.5公厘,時雨量超過80公厘以上的持續時間達13小時之久,皆創下 臺灣地區降雨量的歷史紀錄。 此次颱風豪雨過程可分成三個階段:第一階段為颱風登陸前,北部及中部山區首先出現豪雨 中心;第二階段為颱風通過北部陸地時,北部山區雨勢趨緩,但中部山區雨勢增強並達到高 峰;第三階段為颱風出海遠離,中部豪雨趨緩,南部山區才開始出現豪雨。而引發豪雨及豪 雨持續的可能因素,除受颱風環流雨帶蘊藏中小尺度強對流降水系統直接影響之外,與地形 的阻擋,造成氣流的輻合及迎風面的抬升作用有密切的關係。 |
英文摘要 | Typhoon Herb hit Taiwan on July 30 and remained over until August 1, 1996. It caused the heaviest damage in recent 30 years. This paper discusses some precipitation characteristics as well as spatial distributions and further explores the processes and reasons which resulted in heavy rainfall. During Herb's crossing of Taiwan, the precipitation pattern over the Tanshui River in northern Taiwan appeared as a single peak; the rainfall peak occurred four to five hours before Herb's approaching the drainage area. The mean rainfall of the whole river was 515 mm. The drainage area of the Ta-han River reached a peak rainfall of 598.6 mm, the Shin-tien River 559.7 mm, and the Keelung River 294.5 mm On July 31 during Herb's striking period, the Ali-shan Weather Office of the Central Weather Bureau registered a considerable rainfall of 1094.5 mm. Its 24-hour successive total rainfall reached 1748.5 mm, in which the respective hourly rainfall of 13 successive hours was over 80 mm. Both the 24-hour total rainfall and the 13 successive hourly rainfall set new rainfall records in the Taiwan area. The occurrence of this typhoon heavy rainfall can be divided into 3 stages: First, the heavy rain center occurred in the northern and central monuntain areas before Herb made its landfall over Taiwan. Second, when Herb's center passed over the northern Taiwan land area, the rain intensity in the northern mountain area weakened, but strengthened and reached its peak in the central mountain area. Third, after Herb departed the Taiwan land area and entered into the Taiwan Strait Sea, the rain intensity in central Taiwan weakened and at this time the southern mountain area just started heavy rains. The reasons for triggering and persisting heavy rainfall, apart from the direct influence of the typhoon rain band in which the strong meso-scale convective system was embeded, were closely related to the air convergence and windward lifting forces which were due to the blocking effect of the topography. |
