英文摘要 | This paper applies an analytical method for dimensional synthesis of Watt-I linkages which guide the coupler to pass through five prescribed precision positions. Complex numbers and the concept of dyad are used to establish design equations. With the aid of compatibility equations, the nonlinear design equations are solved by an analytical method. Then, Watt-I linkages passing through four and five precision positions are synthesized. Two design examples are presented. The results of this work provide an alternative selection for rigid body guidance because Watt-I linkage has more design parameters than four-bar linkage for specifying more constraints, e.g., link-length ratio and transmission angle. Besides, the synthesized linkage can also serve as the initial value for optimal synthesis of a Watt-I motion generator with more precision positions. |
