英文摘要 | Enantiomerically pure epoxides and vicinal diols, obtained by Sharpless's catalytic asymmetric epoxidation and dihydroxylation respectively, are widely used as chiral building blocks in organic synthesis. The aryl groups are easily converted to the carboxyl group by oxidation with ruthenium tetroxide. The stereoselective synthesis of the phytosiderophores and the peptidic siderophore, alterobactin A based on utilizing the chiral epoxides and vicinal diols as the synthon and the oxidation of the aryl groups as a key step is discussed in this paper. |
