中文摘要 | 中西戲劇之發源時期皆極早。西方戲劇雖早在五千年前的埃及已有,但是真 正的發祥地是希臘,時間當在西元前五世紀左右。我國戲劇雖說始於元朝,但 是據古代文獻的記載,早在夏、商時代之祭神舞中,已顯示出戲劇的雛型。中西 戲劇的最早形態皆是與宗教及祭祠有關,此點吾人不難於西方天主教中之彌撒及 我國歌仔戲中看出。由於來源相若,故兩種型態之戲劇在各方面相似之處頗多。 如戲劇中皆包含有詩歌舞蹈,皆保留大量的音樂成份,皆包含有敘事詩。在扮演 的細節中亦頗有雷同之處,如男女角色之代演,面具之使用,服飾之表示職業身 份等等。兩者劇本的結構亦頗多類似之處,神仙的出場,舊村料的應用及改編, 以及象徵方式的表演,皆有雷同之處。本文並非專研戲劇者,此為平日涉獵所得 ,略作探討,期能拋磚引玉,深盼在這方面學有專長的專家學者不吝指教。 |
英文摘要 | The source of both Greek and Chinese drama may be traced back to primitive period. Though Western drama had appeared in ancient Egypt, people believe its real cradle is Greece, which had been prosperous around the 5th century B C. As for that of our country, though scholars regard that our drama began in the Yuan Dynasty (1277-1367), it appeared, in fact, in the Hsia (夏 ,2205-1782 B.C.)and the Shang (商,1800-1400) Dynasties. Of course, in that remote period, we did not have any drama, but those religious and pestilence-exorcizing rites might also be looked upon as the miniature form of drama. Both types of drama were originated from religious and sacrificial rites, this may be see, even today, in the ceremonies of the Mass and our singing opera (歌仔戲 ). Because of their similar sources, there exist quite many resemblances between these two types of drama: Both contain poems, singing, and dancing; both preserve a great deal of music; both include epic poems; both enclose details in role enaction. The structures of both drama are roughly alike, both use old materials, and both adopt symbolic performance. This treatise is, of course, far from being complete, I just try to throw a sprat for catching a whale, hoping that my crude remarks may draw forth others by superior scholars. |
