英文摘要 | Effects of three structure-related cytokinins adenine, isopentenyladenine (iPA) and zeatin, each dissolved in Hoagland nutrient solutions at various low concentrations, on seedling growth of water convolvulus (cv. Large leaf) and rice (cv. Tai-Keng 3) were compared. The results showed that in water convolvulus seedling growth, adenine solution at 10 �笐� M, iPA and zeatin solutions both at 10 ���� to 10 ���� M promoted and in rice seedling growth, adenine solutions at 10 ���m to 10 ���| M were effective, while iPA solutions (10 ���m to 10 ���| M) showed no effects and zeatin solutions at 10 �� �� to 10 ���| M inhibited. These results indicate that two distinctly responding systems to these cytokinins exist between these two plant species tested: one with high activity of iPA and zeatin in water convolvulus seedlings, while the other with no promoting activity of iPA and zeatin in rice seedlings. In addition, adenine is much more efficient for upgrading rice seedling growth than for water convolvulus seedling growth. These results thus suggest that the metabolic regulation systems for adenine, iPA and zeatin are totally different between these two plant species tested. |
