中文摘要 | 對新生雌性大白鼠注射melatonin,研究其對在出生後早期卵巢內卵泡發育的影響:出生後五天大的新生雌鼠於皮下單次注射50 μm melatonin,經過10天後以斷頭方式犧性小雌鼠。取出右側卵巢作連續性切片,並將發育中的卵泡依其二垂直長軸的平均直徑大小值分為(1)小型卵泡(50-100 μm),(2)中型卵泡(101-150 μm)及(3)大型卵泡(超過150 μm),並計數、統計之。結果發現melatonin處理組大型與小型卵泡的數目與對照組的數目比較,在統計上有明顯的減少情況存在,並且平均直徑大於200 μm的卵泡只存在於對照組,顯示melatonin對五天大新生大白鼠卵巢內卵泡的發育有抑制的現象。 |
英文摘要 | The early development of ovarian follicles in postnatal rats responding to melatonin administration was investigated in this study. Five-day old neonatal rats received a single 50 μg subcutaneous injection of melatonin or vehicle only, individually. The animals were sacrificed by decapitation 10 days after the injection, i.e. the animals were 15 days old. The reight ovary was removed, fixed, sectioned, and stained with hematoxylin and eosin. The developmental ovarian follicles of which the mean diameter was greater than 50 μm were divided into 3 groups and enumerated according to their sizes as follows: small (50-100 μm), medium (101-150 μm), and large(151-200 μm). It was demonstrated that there was no significant difference between the two groups in the sum of the medium follicles. Nevertheless, the number of small follicles (P < 0.005) and large follicles (P < 0.001) in the melatonin-treated group was less than those of the control group. In addition, we found large follicles with a mean diameter greater than 200 μm only in the control group but not in the treated group. This result suggests that under the designed conditions of our study the neonatal administration of melatonin inhibits the early postnatal development of ovarian follicles. |
