中文摘要 | 本計劃以純種繁殖方式繁殖臺灣山羊,做為長期種原保育,以免絕種。自民國78年起,從本省農家蒐購臺灣山羊為種羊,經多年觀察調查結果,臺灣山羊環境適應能力強,繁殖率高。母羊繁殖性能方面,母羊平均受胎率81.3%,產仔率184.0%,單胎率29.5%,雙胎率54.9%,參胎率15.2%,四胎率0.4%,育成率78.8%,平均每日泌乳量0.58kg,分娩胎距220.9±12.8日,懷孕日數146.6±1.5日,產後再發情間距38.8±13.4日,初次配種日齡241.4±18.6日。仔羊出生體重,公者為2.12±0.15kg,母者為1.81±0.10kg,平均三月齡離乳體重公11.6kg,母10.5kg,出生至離乳每日增重公0.10kg,母0.09kg,仔羊公母百分比為46.7%與53.3%。屠體測定結果,屠宰率54.6%,精肉率35.4%,脂肪率4.8%,骨骼率21.5%。 |
英文摘要 | Taiwan Native Goats were under an endangered situation due to their widespread crossbreeding with exotic breeds during past decades. In order to preserve the gene pool of this native animal, a small population of 40 does were collected an reproduced at this station. The objective of this study was to investigate its basic reproductive and economic characteristics as the basic data of these native animals. Herds were kept on Pangola grassland supplemented with concentrate, depending on the requirements of goat at various physiological stages. Growth and reproductive performances were recorded. Carcass traits of castrated males were evaluated. The average conception rate, kidding rate and kidding interval were 81.3%, 184.0% and 220.9 days, respectively. The percentage of twin and triplet birth were 54.9% and 15.2%. The percentage of kids weaned at three months of age was 78.8%. Doelings were first mated at 241.4±18.6 days of age. Does resumed the first estrus at 38.8±13.4 days postpartum. The average daily milk yield was 0.58kg. The average pre-weaning and post-weaning daily gain were 0.10kg and 0.09kg for male kids and were 0.09kg and 0.07kg for female kids. The carcass dressing and lean meat percentage were 54.6% and 35.4%. These results indicated that Taiwan Native Goat is an early mature breed with high prolificacy, high lean meat and low milk yield. Further studies on physiological characteristics are recommended. |
