中文摘要 | 最近電腦技術的進步將使我們能夠去整合多媒體的資料。在儲存系統技術中,多媒體資料諸如數位影像及聲音是被分類為連續性媒體,在其中有兩個迫切需求:第一,較大的儲存空間,第二,資料傳輸頻寬能夠有效的支援多媒體資料即時性的取得。在儲存系統中有很多方法去改善輸出入效能,其中包括磁碟排程,緩衝區管理以及磁碟配置。磁碟配置能夠根據資料配置位置去減少磁碟搜尋時間及旋轉時間。在本論文中我們提出一時限配置法去配置連續性媒體於磁碟中,並且藉由模擬程式去評估它的效能。結果顯示它能夠滿足即時性需求且有較高的磁碟利用率。如此一來,我們可利用此法使用在儲存性媒體系統使它更具有效率。 |
英文摘要 | Recent computer technological advances will make it feasible to integrate the multimedia data into the computer system. The multimedia data, such as digital video and audio, are classified as the continuous media in which imposes two requirements on the storage system technology: (1) large storage capacity, and (2) a data transfer bandwidth that is sufficient to support the real-time retrieval of multimedia data. In the storage system, there are many schemes to improve the I/O performance in which includes the disk scheduling, the buffer management, and the disk allocation. The disk allocation can accord that the multimedia data are allocated in suitable position to decrease both the disk seek time and the rotational time when disk scheduling. In this paper, we propose a time-constraint allocation method to allocate the continuous media on the storage device, and evaluate its performance by a simulation program. Simulation results show that the time-constraint method can satisfy the real-time retrieval of the multimedia data and have a higher disk utilization. Thus, we also can utilize the time-constraint allocation method in the storage system that makes it more effective. |
