英文摘要 | This study investigated the chloramphenicol (CM) -sensitivity of bacteria isolated from aquatic animals in Taiwan. Cumulatively, 104 isolates, including twenty seven isolates of Streptococcus sp., thirty seven isolates of Aeromonas hydrophila, twelve isolates of Edwardsiella tarda, twenty isolates of Flavobacterium ranacida, and eight isolates of Ustonella (Vibrio) anguillarum, were collected from frog and fish in various areas of Taiwan between July 1996 and June 1997. By using the disc diffusion test, the sensitivity to CM of Aeromonas hydrophila, Ustonella anguillarum, Edwardsiella tarda, Flavobacterium ranacida and Streptococcus sp. were 75.7% (28/37), 62.5% (5/8), 58.3% (7/12), 45% (9/20) and 18.5% (5/27), respectivel. Among them. Streptococcus sp. had the highest MIC 1 concentration (23.3 ? g/mL) by using agar plate dilution test, followed by Flavobacterium ranacida (15.6 ? g/mL), Edwardsiella tarda (7.8 ? g/mL), Ustonella anguillarum (6.8 ? g/mL), and Aeromonas hydrophila (2.1 ? g/mL). Streptococcus sp.also shown highest MIC (122.5 ? g/mL) to CM, followed by Flavobacterium ranacida (46.4 ? g/mL), Ustonella anguillarum (39.1 ? g/mL), Edwardsiella tarda (35.6 ? g/mL), and Aeromonas hydrophila (12.3 ? g/mL). Statistical analysis revealed that the five aquatic bacteria significantly differed (P0.01) in terms of sensitivity tests to CM. sts to CM. |
