中文摘要 | 應用臺灣省畜產試驗所種豬性能檢定站1989年至1993年間之檢定豬隻生長性能資料,進行品種、性別與期別,及其二元交感效應分析。資料包括七期全程參檢之787頭豬隻之檢定期間隻日增重(ADG)與飼料效率(FE)記錄,以及683頭完檢豬隻固定體重之修正背脂厚度(ABF)資料。參檢豬隻進入檢定站後,各期均飼與相同之營養標準日糧,並以相同飼養管理方式進行檢定。試驗結果顯示:品種、性別與檢定期別等各主效應均極顯著(P<0.01),其中藍瑞斯(L)種之ADG與FE均顯著地優於約克夏(Y)與杜洛克(D)豬;且L種之ABF亦顯著地比Y與D品種薄。又公豬之ADG與FE顯著地較女豬為佳,但ABF則顯著地較厚。此外,ADG與FE隨著檢定期別呈持續性地改進趨勢;惟在ABF方面,除第一期與第二期間之公豬外,似有逐期增厚的傾向。在二元交感作用方面,FE與ABF均具品種與性別之交感效應(P<0.05),而品種與期別之交感作用對本報告所探討之生長性能之影響均不顯著(P<0.05);但前述三性狀(ADG、FE與ABF)均具顯著的性別與期別交感效應(P<0.05)。綜合言之,雖然四年七期的檢定資料顯示ADG與FE隨著時間(期別)持續性地改進;但值得注意的是:此並不意味著該項改進即為近年來種豬的遺傳改進趨勢。事實上,送檢畜主有能力送檢“好豬”可能才是前述“時間改進趨勢”的真正原動力。 |
英文摘要 | Data from 7 tests performed at the South Central Test Station in Taiwan Livestock Research Institute during 1989 and 1993 were analyzed to evaluate the growth performances using the model with breed, sex and test main factors, the corresponding interactions as source of variation. The data included 787 records for averaged daily gain (ADG) and feed efficiency (FE), as well as 683 records of adjusted backfat thickness (ABF). The composition of the diet and the management during the testing period were the same for all 7 tests. Results of the test of significance for the main effects were significant for all traits considered (P<0.01). Landrace (L) gained faster and more efficiently than Yorkshire (Y) and Duroc (D). ABF was less in L breed than Y and D breeds. Boras grew faster and gained more efficiently but had thicker ABF than gilts. In general, ADG and FE showed continuous improvement as test group number increased. However, analyses of test trends showed that boar's ABF was increased except between the first and 2nd test. Significant breed by sex interaction was present for FE and ABF (P<0.05). Although Breed by test interaction was not significant for traits studied, sex by test interaction was significant for all traits considered (P<0.05). Furthermore, the significant test trends of ADG and FE were observed phenotypically, but it should be emphasized that these test trends do not necessarily represent the substantial genetic improvement in traits associated. In fact, improved ability of the farmers to submit "good doing" pigs may have an important impact on the test trends. |
