英文摘要 | 'Ding Iou' refers to the 'bereavement of parents'. In Ancient China when an officer's parent die, he was expected to leave his job and stay at home for three years. That was called 'Shou Chih' (to remain in mourning for a parent). However, if he was required to renew his position in less than three years, it was called 'Dwo Chyng'. 'Ding Iou Shou Chih' is the symbol of the filial piety. On the other hand, 'Dow Chyng' would be against the principal of filial piety. If we trace it's origin, the 'Ding Iou' system was produced as early as Hsia Shang Chou dynasty. This study explored the development of 'Ding Iou' system in Ming Hung-wu dynasty. There are four parts in this report: Chapter one: Introduction, including explanation of the purpose of this study. Chapter two: The rule of the 'Ding Iou' system in the Ming Hung-wu dynasty. Chpater three: The practice of 'Ding Iou Shou Chih' in the Ming Hung-wu dynasty. Chapter four: Conclusion, summary of the study. |
