中文摘要 | 為瞭解食蟹�鄏甈側狾◆P繁殖生理,1993-1995年於臺北市立動物園臺灣區繁殖籠 及小獸館進行食蟹�鄏甈副[察及性類固醇濃度檢測之研究。行為觀察結果顯示:繁殖籠之食 蟹�遄A在上午 5:00 - 7:00 及下午 5:00 - 7:00 活動較頻繁,呈雙�贖洶嬪G,食蟹�鄔� 日活動行為,以不活動行為比例較高,繁殖籠之食蟹�鈰疚F 89.3 %;而其活動行為中以運 動、進食、觀望所佔比例較高;小獸館之食蟹�鄐ㄛ※呇甈隻� 60.6 %,而活動行為則依序 為觀望、摸索、自我理毛。另外就食蟹�鉡c殖季節與非繁殖季節活動時間分布而言,雌食蟹 �鄔韟迨W及傍晚有提早外出活動之現象,而雄食蟹�銃�於早上有提早外出活動現象。 利用酵素免疫分析法,檢測繁殖籠食蟹�鉡T中性類固醇濃度變化發現:雌食蟹�鄏� 1993 年 8 月至 12 月間雌酮濃度僅維持在 100 - 200ng/g 之間, 直至 1994 年 1 月濾泡進入活 動狀態, 雌酮濃度高達 400 - 500ng/g, 且呈週期性變化, 其動情週期長度為 36.6 ± 1.1 天( n=5 ), 而孕酮於檢測期間並無明顯變化,顯示食蟹�鉔搣u節性誘發排卵者,而 1994 年 1-7 月繁殖季節期間並無排卵,但於 1995 年繁殖季節中雌酮則未出現週期性變化 。 另外雌二醇之濃度雖於 1994 年 1-7 月間也呈週期性變化,但較不明顯,顯示食蟹�鉡T 中動情素以雌酮為較重要之代謝產物。 根據對雄食蟹�銃i行糞中睪固酮進行分析, 發現 1994-1995 年之繁殖季節中睪固酮濃度較高,可達 120ng/g。 |
英文摘要 | The behavior pattern of crab-eating mongoose in captivity were studied at Taipei zoo from 1993 to 1995. The captive mongoose showed crepuscular habits and were most active after sunrise (5-7 am) and before sunset (5-7 pm). The mongoose was less activeity in holding area 89.3% and in pen 60.6%. Locomoting, feeding and watching took up a high proportion of their activity in holding area, and watching, groping and autogrooming took up a high proportion of their activity in pen. The active behavior happened erlier daily during reproductive season than that of non-reproductive season. The fecal sex steroids were extracted and determined by an enzyme immunoassay (EIA). The results showed that the length of estrous cycle of crab-eating mongoose was 36.6 ± 1.1 days (n=5) determined by the estrone (E1) levels in feces. The fecal progesterone (P4) levels were kept at low values during the experiment periods. According to the data of fecal sex steroids, we may suggest that the reproductive status of the female crab-eating mongoose is characterized induced ovulation. The fecal testosterone levels of male crab-eating mongoose showed a high levels during reproductive season. |
