英文摘要 | In classical dynamics, Caughey and O'Kelly's criterion is a necessary and sufficient condition for a distributed parameter system to have only normal modes. However, the application of this criterion requires the priori knowledge of the system's damping parameter. Thus, it cannot be used to identify the system's damping parameter. In this paper, we propose a different criterion, which does not rely on the prior knowledge of system damping parameter. This new criterion is shown to be equivalent to Caughey and O'Kelly's criterion. Applications in some inverse problems are also presented. |
