中文摘要 | 台灣社會經濟的繁榮改變了國人的日常飲食型態的同時也改變了人口年齡的結構,使高齡人口增加。在此情況下老人預防保健之一的骨質疏鬆症問題引起關注外,隨之而起之一些所謂鈣質機能性食品的市售,其功效如何亦值得探討。本研究的鈣源分對照組(C)的碳酸鈣及實驗組(E)的鰻骨粉兩種。鈣含量各分為0.15<低鈣,L),0.53(正常鈣,N)以及1.0(高鈣,H)三種類。動物採重量約50g的Wistar雄鼠,飼育四週。期間自由攝食並供應蒸餾水。結果顯示鰻骨粉的消化吸收率在低鈣的96.6±1.7值雖高於對照組的93.1±3.6但在鈣源間不顯示差異。同樣中、高鈣組在鈣源問也不顯示差異。顯示鰻骨粉的消化吸收率相當於對照組。然而二種鈣源的不同鈣量,皆隨飼料中鈣量之增加,其消化率顯著下降(p<0.05)。至於大腿骨之重量及鈣蓄積量,在二種鈣源問也不顯示差異。但在鈣量上則顯示二種鈣源之低鈣組皆為最輕及鈣含量最少(p<0.05)。然而二種鈣源的高鈣組卻未因飼料中的鈣量增多而使其大腿骨之重量比正常鈣組的(0.34±0.02g/支)增重或使其大腿骨鈣量比正常鈣的(50.5±2.92mg/支)增量。顯示鰻骨粉鈣在骨骼中的利用性與碳酸鈣組相當。至於對軟組織的影響從腎臟重量比較,在二種鈣源問未顯示差異。但在鈣量上二種鈣源之高鈣組顯著高於低、中鈣組(p<0.05)。然而腎臟中鈣蓄積量在二種鈣源下的低、中鈣量雖未顯示差異。但在高鈣的碳酸鈣組的鈣蓄積量6.62±1.13毫克/個顯著高於鰻骨粉3.02±2.20毫克/個(p<0.05)。 |
英文摘要 | Recently, Taiwan has become an aging society. Preventing osteoporosis isgetting more attention. Although many kinds of calcium compounds are availablecommercially, the active or bioavailable compounds which would contribute to theprevention of osteoporosis have not been determined. The bioavailability of calcium carbonate (C) and eel bone powder (E) asdietary calcium sources was compared in this study. Male Wistar rats (50g BW) were fed ad libitum on diets with a low (L, 0.15), moderate (N, 0.53), and high (H, 1.0) calcium levels for four weeks.Distilled water was supplied instead of tap water. The results show that absorption in the eel bone powder group was 96.5±1.7 in the low Ca diet; 43.5 ± 5.8 in the moderate Ca diet; and 11.1 ± 3.0 in the high Ca diet; respectively. There is no significant difference in bsorptioncompared with the control group. However, the absorption of calcium in bothcalcium sources was decreased when the diet contained increasing calcium amount,especially being significantly lower in the high Ca diet (p<0.05). The weightand calcium content of femur were significantly low in the low Ca diet (p<0.05)but did not increase from high Ca diet in either calcium sources. Also there wasno significant difference between calcium sources. The effect of high calcium diet on the weight and calcium retention of kidney were also investigated. We found the calcium content (6.62 ±1.13 mg/kidney) of kidney in the HC group was significantly higher than HE (3.02 ±2.20mg/kidney) group (p<0.05). |
